It started with being a dumping ground for my extraneous projects in Medieval Studies while I was in university, now it is whatever subject I am moved by regarding literature, history or language.

Why So Quiet?
Taking a break from such intense blogging. My garden needs weeding.
Plus the book, I am reading and want to review, is taking me a long time to read.
I did some weeding in the courtyard this morning - it's just too backbreaking to do it for too long, have to do it little and often. But I did find three self-seeded lavenders which I'm going to replant, and the buds on my new patio rose have just decided to start unfurling.
